Executive Director - CEO
Clay Trussell is a co-founder of P1:3 Ministries and works in Nampula, Mozambique. Clay and his wife, Debbie, have six children. Clay has 25 years of experience in the fields of engineering, construction, and facilities maintenance. His passion is to work with local people to help them develop sustainable projects that will improve the lives of people in their communities.
Board Member - CFO
Kevin Haas is an auditor for the federal government and has a degree in accounting from Furman University and a MBA from the University of South Carolina. Kevin served two years in missions with YWAM, where he lived in Israel. He is married and has one daughter. Kevin and his wife, Maria, are active group leaders with Restoring Your Heart, a restoration and discipleship ministry through World Discipleship Association (WDA).
Etta Holmes is a regional operations director for an education company based out of Boston, Massachusetts. She received her BA in English from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and she has a certificate in Copyediting from the University of California San Diego Extension. In addition to her full-time job, Etta does freelance writing and editing for her business A Ready Pen Writing and Editing Services. In Etta’s leisure time, she enjoys acrylic and pastel painting and gardening. Etta currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina.
Susan Reece is a long-time resident of Charleston, South Carolina. Susan is a graduate from East Tennessee State University and has a master’s degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. She currently stays busy home schooling her daughter, Madison, and serving on the board of directors for P1:3 Ministries, Summerville Homeschool Education Enrichment Program, and Holy City Archery Homeschool Team. Her family attends Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant. During her off time, she loves to spend time with her wonderful husband and daughter.
Wade Tabor operates Tabor Mortgage Group in Charleston, South Carolina. He holds a master’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in secondary education from The Citadel. Wade and his wife Shannon have one daughter.
Mark Turner has been pastor of Oakbrook Community Church (PCA) since 2005. Prior to this, he served at Armor Bible Presbyterian Church in Orchard Park, NY, for 8 years. He has been married to his lovely wife, Shari, since 1985, and they have four grown children (two biological and two adopted). Prior to attending Reformed Theological Seminary to get his M.Div., he ran a software company for 14 years. Mark also serves on the board of Evanjafrica, the partner ministry to P1:3 Ministries. He has visited the Evanjafrica orphanage twice and hopes to make many more trips in support of the gospel ministry in Nampula, Mozambique.
Director of Discipleship and Education
Debbie is a co-founder of P1:3 Ministries. She has BA degrees in education and sociology from Clemson University. Debbie has taught in inner city schools in the US, been the co-coordinator of the children's ministry at a large church, financial officer for a large, homeschool co-op, held a position on a local homeschool board, and raised 6 children (5 adopted and 1 biological). Her role in Nampula is to support and advise the administrators and teachers at the new school opening in 2019. She will also be involved with the orphans on a daily basis.
