“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:3

Our Story

Life changed in 2015 for Clay and Debbie Trussell when they were approached by their local pastor to consider working in an orphanage in Mozambique. After visiting Nampula and falling in love with Africa, they felt confirmed to go. The next 3 years were spent in preparation for the permanent move to Mozambique. But, at the last moment, it was not to be.

But God knew…He had a plan already in place and the Trussell’s were soon on their way to the neighboring country of Malawi. Since then, ministry on the ground has blossomed, their last child has gone off to college, and the future of their calling has begun with the purchase of acreage. As God works in and through the lives of Clay and Debbie, it is their prayer that people will come to know Christ and bear fruit for Him throughout Malawi.

Join them on this journey as you enjoy the stories and pictures of lives changed in this beautiful country, including their own!

Mission Statement

We believe we are called to share the gospel to those in our area of influence, walk alongside of each person as they grow in Christ, assist them in developing a skill through education, and supporting them as they go into their communities sharing Christ and using those skills. We work through our local church (Lusinghazi Community Church), our bible study groups, our training programs and employment to minister to those specific areas of life.

Our Approach

Each of our three focus area - Discipleship, Education, and Community Service build upon each other in a circular approach. .

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that all people are lost and face the judgement of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, and that repentance and faith result in the regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables Christians to live a godly life. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the church. We believe that the ministry of evangelism and discipleship is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that our faith is expressed in being a doer of the Word. It is our responsibility to care for others, especially orphans and widows, and to carry one another’s burdens.
